Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

For those interested in joining Polk County 4-H mark your calendars for Thursday afternoon, March 16! From 4-6 p.m. that day, at Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop, you can enroll in 4-H, get a sneak peak of the upcoming summer workshops, and get a free smoothie just for enrolling!

Ambulance Fundraiser

They are raising funds for a new defibrillator. When: Friday, March 17th from 5:30 to 8 PM Where: Osceola Fairgrounds What: Fish Fry including fish, potatoes, green beans and roll. Ryan Hill providing cash bar.

Join us for a Dr. Seuss Story Hour on Wednesday, March 15 at 4:00! All children ages pre-K to 2nd grade are invited to an hour of stories, crafts, snacks and fun! The Osceola Public Library’s Book Club meets next on Monday, March 27 to discuss THE LIONESS by Chris Bohjalian.

Thrift Shop Bag Sale

The Annie Jeffrey Thrift Shop in Osceola will be having end of season $5.00 bag sales on March 8, 9, and 10 and March 15, 16 and 17th. Bags will be provided. This sale includes all clothing, both for children and adults, shoes, belts, sleepwear, and purses. Household items and toys are not included.

Bunco in Osceola

The monthly Bunco at the Osceola Civic Center will be held on March 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. A $1/player donation will be used for prizes. All are welcome. Please let Pat know if you are attending or have questions (402) 750-4546.

Run Out For Pizza

Jeffrey Elementary School’s Girls on the Run program is having an impact night at Pizza Ranch in Columbus on March 28. Get pizza from 5-8 p.m. and 10 percent of the sales will go to the Girls on the Run program.

Osceola Legion Auxiliary

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #91 will meet on Thursday, March 16th, at the Osceola Legion Club at 7:00 pm. We will be making Memorial Day plans. Members are asked to bring their service hours to the meeting. Deb Runquist is the hostess.

New Pharmacy Coming to Osceola

OSCEOLA — A new pharmacy is coming to Polk County. Central City-based Trav’s U-Save Pharmacy is expanding to Osceola. Owner Travis Kuchar said the pharmacy could open as soon as May. “If everything goes well, ideally it would be May or June,” he said. “I think I am ahead of schedule.
