Annie Jeffrey Health Center Receives Performance Leadership Award for Quality from Chartis Center for Rural Health

OSCEOLA — As part of the National Rural Health Day celebration, Annie Jeffrey Health Center today announced it has been recognized with a 2022 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Quality.

Osceola Legion Presented Quilts of Valor

OSCEOLA — At the Veterans' Day program last Friday eight veterans were honored. Scott Anderson served in the National Guard from 1970 to 1976 in Unit Transportation and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6. He served in Colorado and in Minnesota.

Enter the Christmas Light Contest

The Polk County RPPD and Osceola Community Action Group are having a Christmas Light contest. A team of judges will be out on December 16th to pick two winners.

Mayor Re-Elected; Hays, Miller Head to Council

OSCEOLA — Osceola residents went to the polls last week and Osceola Mayor Donald Graff was re-elected for another term. The mayor ran unopposed. Voters chose Charles C. Hays and Jerry Miller to serve on the Osceola City Council. Hays received 224 votes, while Miller received 175.

Sheriff to Serve on State Advisory Committee

LINCOLN — Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts announced appointments for numerous boards and commissions on Tuesday. Included in the list of appointments was Polk County Sheriff Dwaine Ladwig of Osceola being appointed to the Racial Profiling Advisory Committee.
