Thelen Pulls Out Last Second Win Against Dawgs

SHELBY– The boys’game was back and forth, and it was anyone’s game. Just when Osceola looked to have it in the bag, Husky Noah Thelen shot a three at the last second and it went in for a Husky 55-54 win! The Husky crowd went wild.

CRC WRESTLING

BRAINARD – East Butler hosted conference wrestling again this year, with this year’s addition of Twin River. Centennial was not present this year. Ten teams competed. CRC teams Twin River, Shelby-Rising City, High Plains, Cross County-Osceola, East Butler and Meridian.

Girls Wrestling: Four Qualify for State!

ORD – The Gress sisters from High Plains wrestled in districts at Ord. They both placed third and both punched their ticket to state in Omaha! This will be the first trip to state for Bailey, and the second for Dakota.120: Bailey Gress (HPC, 26-18) won over Khloe Pomplun (DT) in a 30-second pin.

SRC Girls Win Rematch with Eagles

SHELBY – Shelby-Rising City post players Nicole Martensen, OliviaAdams and Leah Whitmore combined for just eight points last Friday, but their defense on BDS standout Campbell Bohling was instrumental in their team’s 41-26 home win.

CC boys Beat SRC to Reach Semis

YORK – Cross County (142) ended all suspense early in Monday’s CRC boys basketball quarterfinal with S-RC by scoring the game’s first 11 points en route to a 77-47 win over the Huskies.

SRC Boys Make Strides and Add Another Win

SHELBY– Shelby-Rising City’s boys basketball team has been making strides during a 5-8 first half of the season and the past week seemed a microcosm of how the Huskies are doing it.

SRC Boys Go 1-1 Against Riverside & Meridian

SHELBY- The Huskies couldn’t quite get it done and lost to Riverside last Friday 61-38.The first quarter started slow for the Huskies. Dalton Pokorney put in a basket, as well as Dylan Micek and Jarren Kravig.

Hans’ Game-Winner Lifts Storm Over Huskies

SHELBY — Ayden Hans has ice in his veins.The Storm senior broke a 51-all tie at the buzzer to give High Plains a 54-51 win over Shelby-Rising City on Friday. Hans scored 8 of his team-high 16 points in the final quarter as the Storm came from behind against the Huskies.
