SRC Girls Win Again in Fullerton; HPC Boys Score Win

FULLERTON — The Storm, Huskies and Bulldogs were in action last Tuesday for the Fullerton Invite. Shelby-Rising City took home the girls team title with 91.75 points. Osceola finished 4th with 65 points. High Plains finished 10th with 15 points.

OSCEOLA - Osceola held their track invite a day late due to weather. Three schools could not come because of the changed date (Nebraska Lutheran, Nebraska Christian and Humphrey St. Francis) but one was added (Burwell).

Polk County News SUTTON - Osceola and Shelby- Rising City track teams made the trip to Sutton for track last Tuesday. The Shelby-Rising City girls came in first (94 points) with Osceola girls right after in second (81 points).

Shelby-Rising City girls’ track team did well last year, bringing home a conference trophy for the third time in a row and district trophy for the second year in a row. They did lose some good members, so time will tell if they can repeat.

Concordia Indoor Invite Results

Forest Division Osceola girls came in 8th place scoring 29.11 points, and the boys came in 11th with 20 points. There were 17 class C and D schools who participated. Girls: 60m hurdles: 6. Addison Theis (OSC) 10.76 60m dash: 7. Janna Roberts (OSC) 8.69, 14. Alexis Burritt (OSC) 8.76, 18.

Senior Girls Basketball Career Stats

New school records were set for girls’ basketball this season. Note High Plains did not have any seniors in girls’ basketball this season. Rori Wieseman (Osceola) got a new school record for career assists as she achieved 244 assists.
