TEN YEARS AGO July 5, 2012 Rick Davis of Shelby sold his 1948 Chevrolet 2-ton farm truck on Ebay to a guy in Nottingham, England. The truck will travel to the east coast on a trailer, and then by boat to England.

Libraries receive $332k in grants

The Nebraska Library Commission recently awarded Library Improvement Grants for 2022 totaling $332,471 to 74 Nebraska public libraries, a library consortium, and a state-run institutional library.

SRC FFA Hosts June Jam Progress Show

On June 11th and 12th the Shelby Rising City FFA Chapter held their second annual June Jam Progress Show. SRC FFA committee members along with their advisor Morgan Segner worked very hard throughout the school year to plan and prepare for a great show.

Schools Out for Summer, But Staffs Remain Busy

School may be out for the summer, but there still is plenty of action taking place at schools all across the nation and Polk County is no different. From school maintenance to summer camps, meals or teachers working to improve ahead of the next school year, schools are staying busy.
