SHELBY— Shelby-Rising City finished as runner-up at the SRC Holiday Tournament on Thursday, falling to Clarkson/Leigh 62-18 in the championship game.
The Patriots controlled the game from the opening tip and jumped out to a 12-2 lead after the first quarter.
In Wednesday’s opening round, Shelby-Rising City outscored Fullerton 13-2 in the final 2:30 to come away with a 64-53 victory.
