Shelby-RC girls get their first win against Giltner

Shelby-Rising City hosted Giltner last Friday. The game started with just a few baskets in the first quarter. Giltner made 6 points while the Lady Huskies made 9. The second quarter was the highest scoring one with 13 points for Shelby and 11 for Giltner, leaving a half time score of 22-17.

Shelby outscored them in the third quarter 7-2 and the last quarter the Hornet outscored the Huskies 7-3 but it wasn’t enough to win the game as the final score was Shelby-Rising City 32 to Giltner 26. Leading scorer was Ava Lar

Leading scorer was Ava Larmon with 15 points, and Taya Pinneo added 9. Rebounds were spread pretty evenly with Larmon pulling down 5, and five other people getting four. Those five were Alex Larmon, Angel Barnes, Kaylei Perry, Rylie Carter and Caydee Bauers.
