CENTRAL CITY- The week started for the Polk County/Aquinas Slammers with a tough matchup against last year’s Class C State runner-up the Central City Bison.
In the top of the first, the hosts ripped three singles to right field and opened a 3-0 lead they would never relinquish the advantage in the 9-1 six-inning win.
