Creighton, Nebraska Play Volleyball Matches on Nebraska Public Media

LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Public Media will bring sports fans statewide coverage of two college women’s volleyball spring matches in April.Up first is a contest between intrastate rivals the Huskers and the Bluejays. “Creighton Volleyball: Nebraska vs. Creighton” airs at 7 p.m.

Cougars and Storm Join 10-Team Field at Merrick County Track and Field Invite

CENTRAL CITY- The weatherman provided great weather on Tuesday as 10 girls and boys teams gathered in Central City for the Merrick County Invite.No team scores were kept as all of the teams were getting their first taste of outdoor action after indoor meets last weekend.

Titans Off to a Slow Start at 1-4

GENOA- After a pair of losses to open the year, the Twin River Titans were on their home turf on Tuesday as they hosted Thurston-Cumings County in Genoa. The Titans erased a 4-2 deficit with a seven-run third and tacked on five more in the fourth as they rolled to the 15-5 five-inning final.

GENOA — Twin River returns an experienced squad to the baseball diamond for the new season.First-year coach Jaysen Melcher said that they have 14 guys out this year, with seven players having seen playtime in previous seasons. He said this year’s squad also has six freshmen competing for innings.
