Huskie’ Boys Notch Pair of Mid-Week Wins

SHELBY- The Shelby-RC boys opened the week with a 68-59 win over the David City Scouts and closed their mid-week two game slate before the CRC Tournament with a dominating 61-22 win at Dorchester.SRC 68 David City 59At the end of the first quarter the Huskies and Scouts were deadlocked at 17-17.

GENOA - The whole game was close, but the Titans came out on top against the Storm, 37-35.The first quarter was close, but Twin River was grabbing the rebounds. After almost half the quarter, the Storm led by a basket 4-2.

Titans Shoot 55% on 2-PT FG’s, tops High Plains 63-48

GENOA - The Storm lost to the Titans in spite of Brodey Spurling’s efforts. Spurling had 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Storm. They lost to Twin River 63-48.Twin River held a slight lead in the first quarter 17-15. Spurling and Owens each had six points for the Storm.

SHELBY-The Huskies split midweek hoops action upsetting Dorchester 40-39 and dropping a 58-24 final to David City at home.

CC girls lose to C-2 power Thayer Central

STROMSBURG - Sometimes the shots go in, sometimes they don't.On Thursday night, Cross County's girls basketball team suffered through a tough shooting first half, trailing 26-11 en route to a 39-26 non-conference home loss to Thayer Central.
