There is no other way to put it, 8-man Football in Polk County over the last six years has been phenomenal. Osceola High-Plains in their two year Co-op in 2018 and 2019 went a combined 16-7 and won a D-1 State Championship.

Osceola Girls Survive at Nebraska Lutheran, Drop Weekend Tilt to David City

OSCEOLA – Following a thrilling 59-58 double overtime win at Nebraska Lutheran last Tuesday, the Osceola girls basketball team hosted David City and the familiar surroundings did nothing to help the Bulldogs during a 53-33 loss Friday.

Top- Cross County/Osceola junior Jed Berggren was the bracket champion at 150 pounds.

Twisters Score Top Five Team Finish at Malcolm Invite

MALCOLM- A total of 16 teams were in action on Saturday at the Malcolm Wrestling Invite.The only local team to make the trip was Cross County/Osceola and the Twisters had a top five finish in the team race as they amasses 115.5 points and took home fourth place.

STROMSBURG - The Cougars won easily over the Bulldogs 67-46. The interesting part of the game was Benson Seim, hitting three pointers for the record. The record for most three pointers in a game is held by Haiden Hild, who hit eight against BDS. Seim came close, putting in seven.

Storm’s Strong Second Half Leads to 10-Point Win Over SRC Huskies

POLK - The Storm pulled out the win against the Huskies, 53-43.The game started close with the Storm leading by a free throw. Brodey Spurling led with four points for them, with Layne Donner getting five (including a three) for the Huskies. It was 10-9 after a quarter.

POLK - It was an exciting game in Polk, but the Lady Huskies won in overtime against the Storm 39-32.High Plains took the early lead, but just by a free throw. Peyton Hofmann led the Storm with five points, while Hayden Hopwood started with four for the Huskies. It was 8-7 after a quarter.
