STROMSBURG - The Polk County Slammers and David City Aquinas Monarchs had pretty much made up their mind they would only be playing a junior varsity softball schedule for the 2026 season due to low numbers on each of their teams.

STROMSBURG – Senior Emaree Dickey is a student-athlete who seems to be everywhere in her community, whether it be serving drinks at the local coffee shop, playing in the high school band, or playing any number of prep sports over the past four years.

MEAD- Coming out of the NSAA Five-Day Sports Moratorium a coach never really knows what his team will do in the first game following the break.Osceola took a 12-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and were a very respectable 5 of 9 from the field as they built the early advantage.

Bowl season is losing it’s luster, it’s draw and its shine.Players and even teams are opting out of games because of lack of players or teams that are going through a coaching change or just don’t want to play.
