Cougars fall to David City and Central Valley

STROMSBURG – The initial portion of the 2025 volleyball season has been filled with quality opponents and Cross County (105) ran into two more of them last week, losing in three sets to visiting David City last Tuesday and then dropping a four-set match at Central Valley on Thursday.

AURORA- A busy week for the Blue River Panthers was capped on Saturday with a 3-0 record and a Southern Nebraska Conference softball title for the Panthers.

OSCEOLA- Other than a blowout win at Fullerton a week ago, the Osceola Bulldogs season has been all about one-score games.On Friday night against the Riverside Chargers the Bulldogs pulled out a 36-30 double OT thriller win to improve to 3-2 on the year and celebrated a big homecoming win.

Struggles Continue as Slammers fall to 4-19

UTICA-The Polk County Slammers had another busy week as they were scheduled to play seven games in five-days.The Slammers were on the road for all seven games starting with a Tuesday evening match-up with the Centennial Broncos in Utica where they came up short in a 10-8 final.

POLK – The Storm hosted Elba and Newman Grove/St. Edward in a triangular on Tuesday. They won against both in three sets each.Against Elba, the sets were 25-19, 26-28 and 25-20. The teams were quite even on kills, with High Plains a bit more accurate with them.

OSCEOLA – The Lady Bulldogs hosted Dorchester on Tuesday and won in three sets, before heading to Waco Thursday for a triangular against Elba and Nebraska Lutheran. They came out triumphant, beating all three for a great homecoming week.
