COUGARS FIGHT HARD, BUT LOSE TO CARDINALS

STROMSBURG – The field was wet and slick, and the Cougars were down a couple athletes due to injuries. Doniphan- Trumbull came with a host of players, and were just too much for the Cougars. The Cardinals won 12-0.The Cougars’ defense deserves some credit, holding the Cardinals to just 12 points.

STROMSBURG – Tuesday Osceola played in a triangular with McCool Junction and Cross County. Cross County handed them their first loss in two sets, 25-22 and 25-22. The Lady Bulldogs gave it their all, and these two teams will certainly meet again, either at conference and/or at subdistricts.

SHELBY – The Lady Huskies played three games last week, with two wins and one loss.Height was a factor as Malcolm defeated the Huskies Monday in three sets, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17. The home team, Clippers have three girls 5’10 or taller, and the Huskies are 5’8 and under.
