Storm causes Two Rivers campground closure

Two Rivers State Recreation Area has been affected by a weekend storm, resulting in damage and closures.Riverside Campground is closed until further notice. Refunds and transfers will be offered. The river day-use area also is closed until further notice.

It’s summer and Sydney Hengelfelt chose to serve as a lifeguard for the pool in Stromsburg the past two months, allowing her to teach occasional swim lessons and carry around equipment that can help her keep kids and adults from mishaps in the water.

STROMSBURG- The Polk County Slammers ended the 2024 season with a record of 17-14 and the Blue River Panthers which includes players from Shelby-Rising City along with David City and East Butler capped their season with a mark of 17-13.
