GRAND ISLAND - High Plains golfed Monday, March 31st at Indianhead against Heartland Lutheran and Shelby-Rising City. Chase Owens came in second, shooting 45. Next was Jacob Lesiak with 49, Carson Swedenburg had 54 and Kyler Hans 61. The team placed second.

Osceola Girls First at Sutton

SUTTON – Osceola and Shelby- Rising City had their first official outside track meet at Sutton on Tuesday. The Osceola girls came home first with 108 points, ahead of second place by three points (which was Hastings St. Cecelia). The Lady Huskies came in ninth out of eleven teams with 28 points.

SHELBY – Coach Riggs is excited to have 13 out for golf this season. He has three seniors, one junior, seven sophomores and two freshmen out. Ironically the sophomores are the ones with experience.The seniors include Hunter Barnes, Dalton Pokorney and Collin Vrbka.

GENOA — Twin River has opened the baseball season with a 2-1 record, picking up wins against Thurston-Cuming County and Raymond Central, while falling to Ralston on the road.Twin River played their first game at home on Monday, defeating Raymond Central 4-2.
