The second grade at Cross County celebrates 100 days of school. Don't be fooled by their appearance. The school year hasn't aged them, they just dressed as if they were 100-years-old.

Robotics Team Travels to St. Paul

The Cross County Robotics team traveled to St. Paul and Jaiden Jeratowski (team 5155J) was the tournament champion. Team 5155S got fourth in skills and seventh in qualifications. Team 5155J is ninth in skills and first in qualifications.

Cross County Finishes 4th at FFA Judging Clinic

Cross County FFA students had the opportunity to practice their livestock judging skills at the 3rd annual Battle Creek FFA judging clinic. Congrats to Kole Crawford for his second place finish and Chesney Sundberg for her 10th place finish. Cross County placed fourth overall.

Midsommar Festival Planning Meeting Set for Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

The 2023 Stromsburg Midsommar Festival dates are set for June 16-18. The first planning meeting will be held at the Stromsburg Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 9, starting at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in helping is invited to attend this meeting.

Bypasses May Be Eliminated from 81

LINCOLN — Discussion is picking up regarding the U.S. 81 construction project. The Nebraska State Highway Commission met on Friday in Lincoln and discussed the 40-mile section of U.S. 81 from York to Columbus.
