STROMSBURG — Cross County is ready for tonight's Homecoming game against McCool Junction.
The schools has been preparing for tonight's game all week with spirit activities. The final stop before the big game tonight was trips to Benedict and Stromsburg for the Homecoming Parade.

STROMSURG — This last weekend, Stromsburg celebrated their 150th year. The town was founded in the fall of 1872 by Lewis Headstrom.
Saturday kicked off with an art show and Swedish steel vendors. Food trucks lined 4th street across from businesses. Dan Cramer’s band, Birdfoot played from 11 a.m .

Polk County 4-H member, Cale Pallas, was selected as one of the top 20 award winners in the 4-H Science competition. His exhibit showcased science by building a custom fishing rod. He was awarded a $100 prize.
