STROMSBURG - The Stromsburg Chamber board is excited to see progress with the new storage building! Many thanks to Ken Everingham for coordinating with the building and getting this project moving.

SHOP THE VICTOR ANDERSON BUILDING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Occasions and The Rose Colored Glass located in the Victor Anderson building have been selected for Nebraska’s Christmas Passport program.Much like the summer passport program, people can visit various locations to collect stamps.

STROMSBURG CITY CLERK/TREASURER RESIGNS

STROMSBURG - At the August 12th City Council meeting, Nancy Bryan announced her resignation. Mayor Everingham read it to the council and citizens present.Her resignation as city clerk/ treasurer was accepted with regrets, and her last day is Thursday, September 19th.

QUANDT WINS 1 YEAR FREE SERVICE

STROMSBURG - NNTC (Northeast Nebraska Telephone Company) out of Jackson, Nebraska held an open house at the Rose Colored Glass last Thursday to answer questions about their new service coming to Polk County.

VETERAN MEMORIAL WALL

The Sons of the Legion in Stromsburg are planning to replace the paper roster at the Stromsburg Cemetery that has been behind the glass case near the stand. They have worked on a final draft for the last 18 months with three different ideas.

STROMSBURG - Stromsburg has joined a growing grassroots network of over 250 ambitious communities using philanthropy to create a brighter future.Agroup of local volunteers have launched the Stromsburg Legacy Fund as an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF).
