The Osceola 8U Baseball- Big 10 League Champs

The Osceola 8-U girls softball team completed the regular season with an 11-0 record and were also league tournament champions. Front Row: Lilly Kelly, Lizzie McDowell, Eliza Leeling, Avery Bise, Vivian Carlson, Ronnie Carlson, Evelynn Leeling, Ivy Mentink & Kelly Girard. Back Row: Kendall Watts, Tenley Hilger, Gianna Battle, Rayna Lassek, Hadley Michalak, Zaylee Jarosz & Genevieve Lindsley. The team was coached by Tim & Chelsey Girard, Mike & Nicki Carlson and Treg & Kalie Lindsley.

Members of the newly established Clover Roots 4-H Club recently spent the day giving back to their community by picking up trash and sticks at the Osceola park. Despite the hot weather, the members worked hard with positive attitudes to help clean and improve the park for everyone to enjoy. The club is proud to serve its community and looks forward to participating in more community service projects throughout the year. Photo provided.

SOS Rebels 14-U Update

MALCOLM – Despite a three-run double by Own Bise and a two-run double by Ridley Cromer, the 14u Rebels dropped a 9-8 decision to host Malcolm 2 on Sunday to fall to 6-8 overall.
The High Plains girls basketball team has been traveling to Centennial High School in Utica on Monday’s night’s and taking part in the basketball camp with games against local schools. Juniors Fall to Twin River in Silver Creek

SILVER CREEK- It was a relatively quiet week for the SOS Juniors as they had just one game on the schedule and that was played on Thursday night in Silver Creek.The Rebels offense was held in check by Twin River’s Mason Hemmingsen who only allowed two hits in the 6-0 Twin River win.

On the morning of June 8th, Brenden Sorsby was informed that a Texas judge in Lubbock County, had reinstated his NCAA status and he was now eligible to play college football this year at Texas Tech.

SOS Rebels Get Shutout of the Win Column at Ralph Jilg in Silver Creek

SILVER CREEK- Just nine games remain in the regular season and this past weekend was a good test for the SOS pitching staff to see how they would fare in a tournament type atmosphere.

High Plains Duo Takes the Basketball Court Together One Last Time

UTICA- The Class of 2026 graduated over a month ago, but as far as high school events go, High Plains’ Gahvi Lesiak and Peyton Hofmann have been making the rounds on the all-star circuit since late May.
