High Plains Cheerleader Car Wash

The High Plains cheerleaders will have a car wash on Friday, July 10th at the Dairy Queen parking lot in Central City, starting at 12 noon. A free will donation will support the cheerleaders.

Nick Hatfield was asked to assess the needed repairs and costs of the “Save the Bandstand Project which he agreed to do. After three fourths of the money was raised, the project began with Nick overseeing the entire restoration.

OSCEOLA - Last Monday (the 13th), some politicians visited Polk County and gave their presentation on why they were running and should be elected. About 35 people were in attendance at the Osceola Civic Center.The federal candidates were first, and then state and then local/ county.

Two men and one team were inducted into the High Plains Hall of Fame on Saturday. POLK – Saturday between the girls and boys’ basketball game, High Plains honored two individuals and one team by newly inducting them into the HPC Hall of Fame.First was the 1982 Hordville football team.
