Cross County Adds Two Wins

Cross County added two wins this week over North Bend Central and Dorchester as the conference tournament looms near. STROMSBURG – Tuesday night Cross County hosted the North Bend Central Tigers. The first set started close.

Slammers Finish Their Season in Subdistricts

GENOA— Polk County scored runs in each of the first four innings, but that was not enough as the Slammers fell 5-4 to Boone Central in the opening round of the C-7 Sub-District.

The Cougars Put the Dragons Fire Out

MADISON – The Cougars traveled to Madison for an afternoon game of football in 95-degree windy weather. Madison schedules their games in the mid-afternoon so referees can do another game in the evening. Madison now has a record of 2-4 now and one of their wins is the forfeit over Cedar Bluffs.

No. 3 Cougars dominate Titans, 58-8

STROMSBURG — You would have thought it was a track meet for all the running the Cougars were doing on Friday. No. 3 Cross County (4-0) ran away from Twin River (1-3) from the opening kick and the Cougars did not let up until the final whistle.

Lady Cougars Go 7-1 on a BusyWeek

The Lady Cougars had a busy week with a triangular on Tuesday, another triangular on Thursday and a tournament on Saturday. Tuesday they faced McCool Junction and Osceola. First up was McCool Junction. The Lady Cougars had the lead the first set, and the Mustangs could never catch up.

COURTNEY CARLSTROM Courtney led Storm volleyball in kills to help her team win the Heartland Lutheran tournament over the weekend. IZAAC DICKEY Izaac had two touchdowns and led the Cougars in rushing yards with 124 and was second in tackles with ten.
