Shelby-Rising City Girls Crowned Champs at Own Meet

The Shelby-Rising City Girls came away with the trophy at their own invite. They scored 79 points more than the runner up, David City. The Lady Cougars came in fifth, with the Lady Storm ninth and Lady Bulldogs eleventh.

Cougars Compete at Wood River

WOOD RIVER — Tuesday Cross County traveled to Wood River for a chilly track meet. Eleven teams competed at the event. Cross County girls came in 8th as a team with 26 points, while the boys were sixth with 36 points.  Junior Kylee Krol was first in the pole vault at a height of nine feet.

Lady Cougars finish 3rd at Thayer Central Invite

HEBRON — The Cougars girls finished third at the Thayer Central Invite on Thursday, finishing with 61 team points.  The boys finished 9th at the event with 28 points. Lindee Kelley won the girls triple jump event with a 34-00.50 jump.

Cougars, Storm See First Outdoor Track Action

CENTRAL CITY — The Cougars and Storm track teams got their first taste of outdoor competition this year at the Merrick County Invite at Preferred Popcorn Field in Central City. Cross County and High Plains were among the 11 schools competing at the event on Tuesday.
