STROMSBURG — The Cross County track invitational was held on a warm windy Thursday. Nine boys and girls teams participated. The Polk County girls came in second, third and fourth behind Nebraska Christian.

Polk County Girls Shine at Conference Meet

OSCEOLA — The Huskies girls’ track team are now the three-time defending Crossroads Conference Champions. Shelby-Rising City beat out 12 other teams on their way to the CRC crown, finishing with 141 points. Osceola finished second with 92 1/3 points, Cross County finished fourth with 63 points.

OSCEOLA — Polk County boys track teams were well-represented at the Crossroads Conference track meet on Saturday in Osceola. The High Plains boys team finished second with 78 points.

OSCEOLA – Shelby-Rising City looked to be the favorite in the girls competition of the Crossroads Conference track and field meet last Saturday and Zoey Walker did her part in making sure the Huskies got off to a good start.

Shelby-Rising City Girls Crowned Champs at Own Meet

The Shelby-Rising City Girls came away with the trophy at their own invite. They scored 79 points more than the runner up, David City. The Lady Cougars came in fifth, with the Lady Storm ninth and Lady Bulldogs eleventh.

Cougars Compete at Wood River

WOOD RIVER — Tuesday Cross County traveled to Wood River for a chilly track meet. Eleven teams competed at the event. Cross County girls came in 8th as a team with 26 points, while the boys were sixth with 36 points.  Junior Kylee Krol was first in the pole vault at a height of nine feet.
