HUSKIES REPEAT AS CRC CHAMPS

BRAINARD - Eleven boys’ wrestling teams made the trip to East Butler to compete in conference wrestling. The Crossroads conference only has six wrestling teams, so five more were invited to fill out the tourney and make it more competitive.

Lady Storm Lose Battle for 3rd

The battle for third place in the Crossroads Conference was decided on the afternoon of Friday the 26th when the Dorchester girls ended the game with a 15 point lead over High Plains, 35-20.

CRC Girls’ Recap of Semifinals & Consolations

Polk County News YORK - Cross County 57, High Plains 18 ast Tuesday, the Cougars dominated throughout asAnderson and Bricelynn Larson tallied 12 points apiece and the winners held the Storm without a field goal for more than two periods to earn a trip to the finals.

SRC & HPC Wrestle Well at Greeley

GREELEY – High Plains and Shelby-Rising City wrestlers competed in the Central Valley invitational on Friday in Greeley. The Huskies did well, coming in fourth with 119 points behind St. Paul, DC Aquinas and Neligh-Oakdale. High Plains also did well, tying for ninth place among 25 teams.

NSAA Discusses State Wrestling Plans

OMAHA - Posts on social media have been flying around that some schools are not receiving enough tickets that they requested. This is true, but according to NSAA, it’s just a few of the schools. The NSAA assistant director Ron Higdon released a video explaining this.

Cougars Upend Storm in County Battle

YORK – Alex Noyd might be more known for football than basketball, but on Monday the senior’s long-range shooting helped get Cross County (13-3) off to a good start during Monday’s Crossroads Conference quarterfinals.

YORK —The Crossroads Conference basketball tournament starts this next weekend. Polk County will be in anticipation as all four schools are in action. Can the Osceola boys repeat and the Cross County girls improve on 3rd to win? Time will tell.
