The National FFA week is this week, February 21-28. The FFA organization has themes for each day.Sunday was SAE day. SAE stands for supervised agricultural experience. It is a required, handson, student-led, teacher-supervised project outside of class.

GRAND ISLAND - The Osceola Dazzlers and Shelby-Rising City Golden Girls went to state cheer and dance on Saturday in Grand Island at the Heartland Events Center. Both teams came home with some awards.

Polk County NewsTime was cut short, and the family was unable to celebrate Hannah Neville and her unborn daughter, Rynlee May Neville, with the baby shower we had been planning.Hannah was scheduled for a C-section on March 10, 2026.

NOTICE: Mail is leaving Stromsburg (and probably other area towns) earlier now. The truck now leaves at 10:30 AM instead of 2:30 PM. Last week’s newspaper went out on Thursday instead of Wednesday. We can’t make 10:30 AM very often.
