God’s Word: Verses for this Week

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

This past week, I woke several mornings to the sound of birds singing. They chirped their early morning melodies with gusto, confidence, and cheer. As I listened to their serenades, I pictured them prefacing each of their days by praising their Creator.

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 South Polk, in Osceola is again happy to host the National Day of Prayer luncheon event which will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026, 11:45 a.m., in the social room of the church. We will gather around 11:45 with the luncheon and the speaker following.

Enders, Buffalo Bill Now Offering Camping Reservations

Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area and Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area have been added to Nebraska Game and Parks’ camping reservation system.They join Swanson and Red Willow state recreation areas, which were added last season in southwestern Nebraska.

May, June dates set for annual tractor/equipment safety training for young and beginning farmers

The Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (CS-CASH) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health, in partnership with Nebraska Extension, has announced the dates for its annual tractor and equipment safety training courses.
