Polk County Opens Free Little Food Pantries

When Calvary Lutheran Church received a large donation of food from High Plains School, they needed to figure out what to do with it all. They took some to Blue Valley in Osceola, some to Genesis House in David City and some to a Lutheran charity in Blair. But there was still SO much left.

Fire in the Bluffs Put Out Quickly Thanks to Mutual Aid

Polk County NewsOsceola Fire and Rescue fought a fire in the bluffs between K and L roads just south of 134th road on Thursday. They were alerted by the National Weather Service and that helped fire trucks get to the scene quicker.

STROMSBURG - It was an exciting week at Cross County, as Thursday the girls won their district final to qualify for state. Then fans were back at Cross County Saturday as the boys won their district final.
