We live in an age of addiction and dysfunctional personalities. Lives and families are shattered every day by drug addiction, gambling addictions, pornography, alcoholism and more. Some people have anger issues and live daily lashing out at people and loved ones.

Recent “chilly” weather calls to mind those January afternoons when my mom would tote boxes of fabric scraps to the dining room table in preparation for her annual quilt project. She would pick through neatly folded bundles of material in search of pieces that would be just the right size and color.

Brrr…that old man winter has struck again! But, if the forecasters are right, it will soon feel like spring! At Midwest Covenant Home the residents have kept warm and cozy inside with various activities. Our friend Tim Javorsky was not able to make it this month due to the frigid cold and snow.

Corey and Alissa (Paczosa) Prorok of Genoa are proud parents of their son, Rudy Michael, born February 10th, 2025 at Columbus Community Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He’s welcomed home by sisters Adalynn and Rylee.
