From the Museum

It’s been cold at the museum, but warm memories remain. It was an article in the AARP magazine about music therapy this month which prompted recollections of persons afflicted with memory loss and even speech loss, who responded to familiar songs from their past.

Christmas Lights Reminder

Reminder- please remove your Christmas lights from the square! Signs may be returned to Heritage Bank or hang onto them yourselves. All lights and Christmas decor that may be reached without a bucket truck must be removed for the summer season please!

Pedicure Clinics

Pedicure Clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please call the health department to make an appointment.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Stromsburg, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Swedish Festival

The Swedish Midsommar Festival dates are set for June 14-16. There are needs for leadership and help in several areas. The chicken/pork BBQ and parade are two places where help is needed and planning needs to start.
