Cross County Speech Places Third at McCool JCT Invitational

MCCOOL JUNCTION- The Cross Cougars Speech team raked in several medals at the Mustangs Speech Invitational last week while finishing third as a team.The team also qualified several students for the State Speech Meet advancing to the State competition in Kearney later this month.

This week, Nebraska lost one of our own. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Noah Tietjens of Bellevue was killed in Kuwait while supporting Operation Epic Fury. He enlisted in theArmy Reserve in 2006, deployed twice to Kuwait, and spent nearly 20 years serving this country as a soldier and mechanic.
