Pop tabs can be dropped off at the bank in Gresham for the Ronald McDonald House in Omaha. 2024 Community Calendars are available from the Gresham Community Club at the bank and C-Store. Centennial School Board of Education will meet Monday February 12th, at 8 p.m.

From the Museum

A very interesting item to turn up at the PCHS Museum was the 1922 Standard Oil road map. It was produced just as the old practice of using names to identify routes rather than numbers was going out of style, and the new system of highway numbers replaced names.

Two Parks Running Club

The Two Parks Running Club will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, February 21st from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Rose Colored Glass. At this meeting you can learn about the club and sign up for 2024 membership.

Swedish Festival

The first planning meeting for the June 14-16 Swedish Midsommar Festival will be held at the Stromsburg Public Library on Thursday, February 6th at 7 PM. This is open to all who are interested in helping in any way, but especially to committee heads of events that are held during the festival.

FCCLA District Results

GENEVA - Eight students from Cross County recently participated in the Nebraska Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America District #4 STAR Event Competition. This annual event was held at Geneva E-Free Church and featured competitors from the area.

NNLP Public Meeting on February 29th

The public input meeting that is part of the state wildlife action plan update process, postponed earlier because of possible bad weather, has been rescheduled. It will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Kearney Public Library Loup Room, 2020 1st Ave.

Osceola Lenten Luncheons

The Osceola Tri-Church Ministry association will again host luncheons on Wednesdays during the season of Lent, beginning on February 21. This year, pastors from the participating congregations will speak on the topic of “family and vocation.

Suits and Sneakers

The Osceola Cheer and Dance has raised over $2,300 for Sammy’s Superheroes Foundation in the last two years with your help. This year, the OCDT is teaming up with the SRC Cheer and Dance Team to raise money for this foundation that is near and dear to both teams’ hearts.
