The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department, Stromsburg, NE, on Wednesday, December 13th and Monday, December 18, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Flu shots are available. An appointment is required.

STROMSBURG STARTS THE HOLIDAYS

STROMSBURG – The annual lighting of the square took place Saturday late afternoon and early evening. The weather was about 26 degrees, which was cold, but luckily no wind. The cold didn’t keep everyone home, as there was still a long line for Santa and many took wagon rides.
High Plains performed their one-act play “The Wizard of Oz” on Tuesday night to a good crowd of about 75 people. Above: The cast and crew following the performance. POLK - Tuesday evening High Plains performed their one-act play “The Wizard of Oz” to a crowd of around 75 people after a spaghetti supper fund raiser. This is the traditional “Wizard of Oz” from the book by L. Frank Baum adapted for the stage.
