Polk County Celebrates Cancer Survivors at Luncheon

OSCEOLA — The Polk County Health Department hosted a lunch for cancer survivors last Wednesday at the Polk County Fairgrounds. Darla Winslow, director of the health department gave the welcoming comments. She stated it’s been five years since their last lunch, due to COVID.

Egg Hunt is Saturday

The third annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 8 starting at 11 a.m. at Buckley Park. The Easter bunny is scheduled to make an appearance. There will be free hot dogs and chips, and games.

Cross County Robotics U.S. Open

Cross County Open teams O5155S and O5155J competed at the Create U.S. Open in Council Bluffs over the weekend. On the final day of the US Open, robotics team O5155S looked to battle up from 23rd and O5155J finished in a respectable 7th. The teams partnered up to finish 6th place.
