Osceola UMC Visits Good Sam

The Methodist Christian Women were on a mission one recent Tuesday afternoon. Using clothing and jewelry from the Osceola Thrift Shop, as several of the Methodist women also volunteer at the shop, a pop-up boutique appeared in the dining room of the Good Samaritan Center.

Local Author Book Signing

The Osceola Library hosted local author, Alena Mentink, for a book signing for her second book which is just released “A Bargain to Keep.” Mentink will be at the Stromsburg Library on April 8, starting at 10:30 a.m., if you missed her in Osceola.

Fischer, Colleagues Introduce Legislation to Overturn Biden’s 'Reckless' Student Loan Scheme

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) joined 37 colleagues this week in introducing legislation to overturn President Biden’s student loan cancelation scheme, which would transfer up to $20,000 in student loan debt per borrower onto taxpayers, costing an estimated $400 billion.
