Help Needed for Memorial Weekend Activities

Shelby Legion Post 296 is asking for community help with memorial weekend activities. The Legion members will be working at the cemetery Thursday May 26 at 6:00 p.m. They will be preparing all the holes for the flags for the avenue of flags. Saturday May 28, at 9:00 a.m.

Polk County Foundation Scholarship Winner

Monday evening, the Polk County Foundation presented scholarships to local seniors. Receiving one was Shelby-Rising City senior, Grady Belt. He is pictured with his parents, Jenny and Tony Belt.

FROM THE FILES of The Osceola Record

TEN YEARS AGO May 17, 2012 Osceola hosted “Dancing with the Teachers”. Students and teachers were paired to win the coveted “mirror ball” trophy. The evening started with dinner, followed by dancing by the pairs competing. The 2012 graduating class was recognized as graduation was May 12th.
