Osceola Senior Center Breakfast

The Osceola senior center will host a fundraiser breakfast on May 29, 2022 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Osceola Civic Center. The menu features breakfast casserole, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, juice and coffee.

Piano Recital

A piano recital will be presented by the students of Louise Wheeler on Sunday afternoon, May 22, at 4 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 531 S. Polk St. in Osceola. A reception to honor the students will follow. Please come and support these young musicians.

American Legion Auxiliary Student Contests

The Stromsburg American Legion Auxiliary invites the Cross County fifth graders to write an essay on Americanism each year. This year’s prompt was “How can you show patriotism in your school and community?” The fourth graders also created posters to honor and remember our veterans.

TEN YEARS AGO May 17, 2012 The brand new pool opened in Stromsburg on May 26. It featured a zero-entry baby area, mushroom shower, two slides, basketball goal and more. The Class of 2012 was recognized. Valedictorian was Brooke Langemeier and salutatorian was Alisha Schlegelmilch.
