Smorgasbord

The Smorgasbord is back! A buffet of delicious Swedish food in an authentic setting. Saturday, June 18th, 2022 Next month!! Two shifts: 11 AM to noon, or noon to 1 PM. Cost: $20 for adults, $10 for those 6-12 years, kids under 6 are FREE. Cross County School (Highways 66 and 81), 1270 123rd Road.

SENIOR CENTER

It seems the month of May is flying by fast. This coming Friday, the 20th Bingo will be played at our center beginning at 2 p.m. Come in and enjoy the game and fellowship. Monday, May 23rd the pool tournament will be enjoyed at the Shelby Senior Center at 1:30 p.m.

Local Man Pleads No Contest to Meth Possession

Jory A. Johnson, age 37, of Stromsburg was stopped by York Police for a defective tail light. He told the officer he didn’t have his driver’s license with him because of an alleged issue with his mailing address. Later it was found that his driver’s license was expired.

Stromsburg Woman’s Club

The Stromsburg Woman’s Club will meet on Monday, May 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Viking Center.

Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. and Monday, June 27th, 2022 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.
