Swedish Dinner & Silent Auction

The Stromsburg Q150 committee has a Swedish dinner and silent auction on Saturday, May 21st at the Viking Center. The silent auction and appetizers will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with the dinner following at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be catered by Swedish chef Patrik Landberg.

3 x 4 Award Winners

Cross County Seniors Cory Hollinger (left) and Josi Noble (right) received their 3 x 4 awards for lettering in three sports in all four years of high school. Hollinger lettered in football, basketball and track, and Noble in volleyball, basketball and track.

Chris Bubak Speaks At Stromsburg National Day Of Prayer Breakfast

Chris Bubak was in Stromsburg last Thursday morning, May 5th, to speak at the annual National Day of Prayer breakfast. Chris has been the State Director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes the last 28 years. Chris is related to the Anderson family in Stromsburg.

The school board held their monthly board meeting on Monday, May 9th. The board approved a quote from Applied Connective to upgrade software and to install additional security cameras at Cross County.

Ostkaka & Lace Cookie Classes

An opportunity will be available for all interested in learning one of the ways to make ostkaka (a Swedish dessert). There will be two classes taught on Saturday, May 21st at the Rose Colored Glass. The morning class will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon class will begin at 2:00 p.m.
