Mattox Earns Master’s Degree From CSC

CHADRON, NE - Jenna Mattox of Osceola, graduated from Chadron State College Saturday with a Master of Education. Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska.

Area Students Honored by CCC

GRAND ISLAND -- Special recognition awards were presented April 19 at the Central Community College-Grand Island Student Recognition and Award Ceremony. The ceremony also recognized students enrolled at the Holdrege, Kearney and Lexington center and online.

Area Students Graduate from CCC

(Columbus, Neb.) – Central Community College-Columbus honored about 150 graduate candidates May 6 during its 52nd annual commencement ceremony. Thirty-two of the degree candidates achieved an accumulative grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during their college career and graduated with honors.

Six Local Students Graduate from Wayne State

Wayne State College held commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students on May 7 in the college’s historic Willow Bowl amphitheater. The graduate student ceremony was held at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony was at 1:30 p.m.

Political Candidates Visit Polk County Before the Vote

Last Wednesday at the Legion Club in Stromsburg brought about a dozen candidates and seventy people together. Each candidate was given ten minutes for their presentation, then there was some social time after when attendees could meet any candidate and talk to them.
