Walkers were able to take advantage of the nice weather with a 30-minute walk for the National Walk at Lunch Day sponsored by Pinnacle Bank, Annie Jeffrey and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Stromsburg Chamber of Commerce Shred Event

DATE CHANGE! The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a shred event on Monday May 9th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Polk County RPPD on highway 81. Each car receives the first 75 pounds FREE. Additional material destroyed for 15 cents a pound payable to Paper Tiger (cash or check).

Donelson Reunion

The 103rd Donelson Reunion will be held June 5th, 2022 with social time at 5:30 PM and meal at 6 PM. It will be held at PK’s Revival in Benedict. Reservations are required. Please RSVP to Diana Widga at 402-366-6130 by May 31st. Hope to see you th ere. (4x/5/26)

Q150 Valborg Natt Redesigned

With rain and storms coming this last week, which was an answer to every farmer’s prayer, Valborg Natt was rescheduled and moved locations. It was moved to the Rose Colored Glass with festivities from 1-4 p.m. last Saturday.

Swedish Dancers Needed

The tradition of having local grade school children learn Swedish dances for the annual Swedish Midsommar Festival is something that is very much enjoyed both Friday and Saturday of the festival. Forms have been sent home with all Kindergarten through sixth graders.
