The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday or the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.

I grew up as the child of teachers; both my parents taught school. My dad was a vocational agriculture teacher for 30 years; most of that time he also taught chemistry, and occasionally a math class. My mom was the Title I/Chapter I math teacher for about 30 years also.

Cross County and Osceola Schools both held job shadowing opportunities for high school students last week. Cross County juniors were able to visit a local business and learn about what someone does there.
