Ron and Sharon Christensen married on Easter Sunday in 1962 at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska. They met at Norfolk Junior College and married a couple weeks before Ron graduated from Midland Lutheran.

Pedicure Clinic

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st Wednesday morning and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747- 2211 to make an appointment. .

Candidate Forum Coming to Stromsburg

The Polk County Republicans and Polk County Patriots will be presenting a Candidate Forum on May 4th at the Stromsburg Legion Club beginning at 6:30 PM with doors opening at 6:00 PM.

Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday May 4th, 2022 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

National Day of Prayer

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola will host National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5th at 11:45 a.m. A free lunch will be served; the speaker will be Roz Ernst from Columbus. Stromsburg’s National Day of Prayer breakfast will be at the Viking Center at 6:30 a.m.

Osceola Story Hour

The Osceola Public Library’s last Children’s Story Hour of the school year will be on Wednesday, May 11 at 4:00! All children ages pre-K to 2nd grade are invited to an hour of stories, crafts, snacks, and fun!

Seven groups of third and fourth graders from Cross County, Osceola and Shelby-Rising City took turns learning about health at the Polk County Fairgrounds last Thursday.
