Scott Charles Walgren was born September 13, 1955 in Columbus, Nebraska. Passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 70.
Scott was born to Paul and Sandra Walgren and was a brother to his sisters, April and Robin, and younger brother Tracy. He attended and graduated Osceola High School in 1973 before studying diesel mechanics at the Nebraska School ofAgriculture in Curtis Nebraska. He worked as a mechanic as well as a farmer on his family’s farm outside of Osceola, Nebraska for many years.
He was preceded in death by his brother Tracy, mother Sandra, father Paul and grandparents Fred and Maurine Schuman and Norma and Charles Walgreen.
He is survived by his sisters April Butt and Robin (Don) Foulk as well as his daughters, Morgan (Mason) Walgren-Teeters, Taylor (Marcus) Cech, and Hannah (Blake) Wegener in addition to five grandchildren, three nieces and three nephews.
Scott enjoyed spending time outdoors, tinkering in his shop, coaching youth softball in the summer, being a part of the “chain gang” during Friday night football games, and reminiscing with old high school friends in Osceola and at the golf course. He also volunteered at Swede Home Calvary Lutheran Church as the bell ringer for quite a few years.
Scott’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 14th from 2-6 PM at the Legion Club in downtown Osceola Nebraska. This time will be spent recalling good memories of Scott’s past, much as he would have loved to do with friends on a Saturday in Osceola.
