Arthur “Art” Lambert

Arthur “Art” Lambert, age 85 of Stromsburg, NE died Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Stromsburg. He was born on February 6, 1940 to Eugene and Lorene Lambert in Yuma, Colorado. They moved to Fullerton, NE. Art attended school until 11th grade in Fullerton.

August 12th, 1960 he was united in marriage to Sharon Church of Clarks. They made there home in Gresham, NE for a short time. They moved to Stromsburg until the 1980s then moved to York. They both then ended back up in Stromsburg at the Midwest Covenant Home.

Art worked as a mechanic for about 20 years. Then he worked for Sundstrand, where he retired.

Art enjoyed country cruising, looking for wildlife, and bird watching. He loved and enjoyed being with the grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Roger (Mona) Lambert of York, Lisa (Butch) Sanders of York, 4 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Leonard Suhr officiating . Interment will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Monday with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. that evening, all at Metz Mortuary in York. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
