William ‘Bill’ Joseph Gillespie, age 66, of Rising City, Nebraska, passed away February 20, 2026 at UNMC in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby with Father John Rooney officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at the church.

Interment will be in the Shelby Cemetery.
