Brent Rystrom

Funeral services for Brent Rystrom, age 61, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, formerly of Meadow Grove, Nebraska, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden, Nebraska. Reverend Chad Boggs will officiate.

Military honors will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7603, American Legion Post 170, and American Legion Riders.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brent died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his residence.

Brent I. Rystrom, son of Bruce and Bonnie (Cleveland) Rystrom, was born September 27, 1963, in York, Nebraska. Brent attended Stromsburg Public Schools and graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School. He married Renea Mozer, and they were blessed with four children: Tad, Misty, Rob, and Krista. Brent and Renea later divorced.

Brent served his country in the United States Navy from November of 1982 until July of 1991. He was stationed at Virginia Beach and Pearl Harbor during his time in the service.

Brent enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He also loved riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his children, Tad (Bethany) Rystrom of Sioux City, IA, Misty Ondracek of Lincoln, NE, Rob Rystrom of AZ, and Krista Rystrom of Norfolk, NE; six grandchildren; and his brother, Brandon Rystrom of Tilden, NE.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Bonnie.
