Leonard Frederick Anderson, at the age of 92, passed away peacefully at his home near Polk on August 12, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Polk Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Scott officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Polk Cemetery.

Leonard was born on July 7, 1933 in his family farm house near Polk, Nebraska to Oscar and Clary Anderson. He was always proud to say he still lived in the house he was born in. He attended country school near Polk and graduated from Polk High School in 1950. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served actively from 1953-1955. He met Carolyn Ann Draucker and they were united in marriage on January 30, 1966 in Benedict, Nebraska.
Leonard was a member of the Polk VFW and Polk United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing pool at the Senior Center where he would occasionally win some tournaments. He also enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, and spending time with family. He loved farming, and in his younger years fishing trips to Canada.
Leonard is survived by his daughter; Kerri Garrison of Kearney, NE, sons; Alan Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK, Brad (Jesica) Anderson of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-law; Rosie Anderson of Stromsburg, NE; 3 grandchildren, Connor Garrison, Taylor (Ann) Garrison, and Odin Anderson, nieces, nephews, and his farming partner Joel Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 brothers, Reuben, Harold, and Lee; sisterin-laws, Verlene and Jeanne.
