Aug. 22, 1943 - Dec. 12, 2025 Linsay Darnall, Sr. 82, of Polk, died on Friday, December 12, 2025 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Polk with Linsay Darnall, Jr. officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at the Polk Cemetery at a later date.

Linsay was born on August 22, 1943 in Stromsburg to Ray and Martha (Kohl) Darnall. He lived in Clarks then grew up in Havens and graduated from the Nebraska School of the Deaf in 1964. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Greenfield in 1966. In 1967 they moved to Polk. Linsay graduated from Barber College in Omaha and worked as a barber as well as a carpenter for many years.
He was a member of Nebraska School for the Deaf Alumni Association, Nebraska Association of the Deaf, Omaha Association of the Deaf Seniors, Hillbilly Camping Club, Board member of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. He was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith and was a member of the Christ’s Church of the Deaf.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kay of Polk; his two sons, Linsay Darnall Jr. of Omaha and Daniel R. Darnall of Polk; and his brother, LaMoyne (Bev) Darnall of Rapid City, South Dakota, nephews and a niece, their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verlene DarnallAnderson and brother-in-law, Harold Anderson, Clarence Greenfield, Ronnie Poeschl and nephew, Lonnie Poeschl.
