Sharon Lee Lambert, age 85, of Stromsburg, NE, died Sunday, August 3, 2025 in Stromsburg. She was born August 20, 1939, to Walter and Marie (Dickman) Church in Clarks, NE. She lived in Merrick County, NE growing up, and went to Countryside River School until 8th grade. On August 12, 1960 she was united in marriage to Arthur Lambert of Fullerton, NE. They made their home in Gresham, NE for a few years. They resided in Stromsburg, NE until 1980, then in York for a while, ending up back in Stromsburg Covenant Home.
Sharon worked at Dale’s Electronic, York General Hearthstone, and Yorkshire Motel. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, bird watching, country cruising for deer and other wildlife, cooking and watching the grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, children Roger (Mona) Lambert of York, Lisa (Butch) Sanders of York, sisters Alice Faeh of Grand Island, NE and Twyla Mingus of York, 4 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Arnold Church, Dean Church, Jack Church, Harold Church, Forrest Church, Milford Church, Ron Church, sisters Blanche Shively, Bernice Plumtree, Betty Gulbrandson, Faye Greger, Erma Cornwell, and Donna Reisener.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Leonard Suhr officiating. Interment will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Tuesday with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. that evening, all at Metz Mortuary inYork.
